A&I

Our name comes from the organization founded by John Hancock, John Adams, and John Bowdoin in Boston in 1780. The Academy of Arts and Sciences charter statement boasts that the "design of the institution is...to cultivate every art and science which may tend to advance the interest, honour, dignity, and happiness of a free, independent, and virtuous people.

Arts & Intelligence

Arts & Intelligence exists to explore, experiment, and expand the future of production through artificial intelligence. As the AI division of Arts & Sciences,  A&I does not operate in isolation — it is built to enhance and evolve every aspect of our shared creative operation. We believe that AI is not here to replace talent, but to empower it. To accelerate vision, sharpen craft, and unlock new possibilities in storytelling, production, and workflow. A&I is structured not only to seek opportunity and drive growth in new markets, but also to serve as a catalyst for innovation within Arts & Sciences.

What We stand for

  • Empowerment Over Replacement

We use AI to make people - directors, producers, artists - more powerful, not obsolete.

  • Experimentation over Conformity:

We test, refine, and question everything. Innovation comes from trying new approaches and learning from what works.

  • Clarity over Hype:

We demystify AI for our team, our clients, and our collaborators. No jargon. Just value.

  • Collaboration over Competition:

A&I exists to uplift the creative excellence of Arts & Sciences — and vice versa.

  • Craft over Shortcut:

Automation supports the work, but it never replaces intent or taste.

How we work

  • We run AI training for directors, producers, and staff.

  • We collaborate on pitch work and treatment development.

  • We build repeatable workflows that make bidding faster and production smarter.

  • We consult on pipeline integration across pre, production, and post. We develop new services that can be taken to market — both with and beyond existing clients.

  • The Future We're Building

Arts & Intelligence exists to support and strengthen Arts & Sciences — but also to expand what a production company can be. As agency models evolve and brand needs shift, we see an opportunity to lead projects not just through execution, but from creative development through final delivery. AI tools allow us to prototype faster, collaborate more fluidly, and respond quickly to client needs.
