Torben bends and transforms the real world like Play-Doh. It’s a talent he first developed growing up in rural Denmark, where boredom, tractor pulls, and a steady diet of interrupted romantic comedies (his parents were restless with the remote) mothered all kinds of invention.
Since then, Torben has been on the same kind of transformative, layered, convention-busting journey he often captures in his work.
A stint studying architecture led to filmmaking, where his imagination could finally run wild, free from earthly constraints like the laws of physics. He finds character and color everywhere, melding magic, post and practical– a talent that has garnered him international awards and recognition.
